Please let me tell you about a special lady, Belinda Ballenger. She is my nominee for “World’s Best Storyteller”. I have seen both adults and children with jaw-dropping attention, hanging upon each word as she spins out a tale.
Belinda had to put her gift and ministry on hold for over a decade as she cared for each of her late parents in succession. Now the Lord appears to have released her to pick it up again. New Testament Greek has three words we translate into the English word “wisdom” – sophis, phronesis, sunesis. “Phronesis wisdom” refers to practices (how to …). Belinda is a gifted phronesist. As she lays out a story useful principles pop up like crocuses in the spring. She is also an award winning historian.
